Deadliest Catch is a documentary television series produced by Original Productions for the Discovery Channel. It portrays the real life events aboard fishing vessels in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan fishing seasons, one of the most dangerous stretches of water in North America. Deadliest Catch premiered on the Discovery Channel on April 12, 2005, and currently airs in over 200 countries.

Deadliest Catch finally went to file based digital acquisition on all 106 of its cameras, on boats, on land and from the air. Due to her in depth + unique understanding of multiple digital camera formats Hatti was brought on to advice and streamline this process, set up the workflow from scotch and to shoot as Land Camera in Unalaska, Dutch Harbor and Saint Paul Island, a desolate Island, a dot in the Bering Sea 700 miles from Russia, traveling in and out by boat. Hatti has now worked on five seasons of the show, in the heart of the Alaskan winter. 2021 started with a 14 day quarantine in the middle of the Bering Sea. Hatti has garnered the respect of mostly male crew over multiple seasons of working on the show.

"We could not have made the transition from tape to file based work flow without Hatti, she is a very rare breed . She has the qualities of an artist and story teller as well as bringing incredible technical skills, not to the mention the physical stamina as a camera operator which is required for a show like ours, often shooting in brutal conditions. Theres good reason why she is asked back year after year.
