Biography

Hatti is a British born Director of Photography based between London and Los Angeles. Her work has lead to an array of projects working on feature films, documentaries, shorts, commercials and music videos.

Past credits include LISTEN, a feature directed by Ana Rosha de Souza exploring forced adoption within a Portuguese family living on the poverty line in London. The film screened at 77th Venice Film festival becoming the most awarded film at the festival, winning two Lions; Best Debut Feature, Special Jury prize and Best Film for social Impact. It was later selected as the Portuguese entry for Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards.

Hatti's passion and deep roots in documentary have lead to long trusted collaborations. Projects with director Lysa Heslov include BROTHER FROM ANOTHER, with George Clooney's Smokehouse Pictures producing, telling the harrowing story of the murder of a Florida doctor and SWIFTBOAT exploring 'Cancel Culture' within the media. Other projects include ASHLAND, shot over 5 years on S16mm film in Montana. Since working in the USA Hatti has become known for shooting in rugged environments working extensively for the Discovery Channel and National Geographic USA.

Hatti"s career begun in London working as a camera assistant on feature films, televison, commercials and music videos she also trained as a Steadicam Operator, shooting all over Europe. Due to her understanding of digital formats, she worked as an onset digital imaging technician supporting and providing onset color management for some of the best cinematographers in the business before becoming a Director of Photograpohy. Past films include Oscar winning GRAVITY (Emmanuel Lubezki AMC, ASC), RUSH (Anthony Dod Mantle BSC, ASC) and the opening of the 2012 London Olympics. She counts among her mentors Alwin Küchler BSC, and Seamus McGarvey BSC ASC. She was selected for the ASC's Vision Mentorship program matched with Alexis Zabe ASC. 

Coming from a family of painters Hatti studied Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art and a sponsorship from Actor/Director Ralph Fiennes allowed her to attend the American Film Institute Conservatory, cinematography MFA program in Los Angeles. Hatti is an active member of BAFTA  and is one of the founding members of the International Collective of Female Cinematographers which provides community support and industry advocacy for professional female cinematographers. Hatti is represented by United Agents holds UK passport & USA Greencard
